Lyn Smallwood is a Seattle-based artist whose work explores the intersection of nature, emotion, and expression. Informed by style elements from Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and Symbolist influences, she translates the human experience of being in nature into patterns of color and form. Her goal is not to record a scene but more to capture the energy behind it, it’s subtle pulse.

Working primarily in oil, Lyn’s layered textures, vibrant palettes, and mature brushwork evoke a sense of connection between landscape, viewer and spirit.
